Transfer Credits Policy

Robert Cavelier University (RCU) recognizes the value of prior graduate-level academic work. RCU has established the following policy for the evaluation and transfer of credits from other regionally or nationally accredited institutions.

Eligibility for Transfer Credits

Applicants who have previously completed graduate-level coursework at an accredited institution may request an evaluation of those credits for potential transfer into RCU's MBA program. The following general criteria apply:

  • Courses must have been completed at an institution with recognized regional or national accreditation.
  • A grade of "B" (3.0) or better must have been earned in each course being considered for transfer.
  • Courses must be graduate-level (500-level or above) and relevant to the MBA curriculum.
  • Courses may not be more than seven (7) years old at the time of evaluation.

Maximum Transfer Credits

A maximum of nine (9) credit hours may be accepted for transfer into the RCU MBA program. All transferred credit is subject to approval by the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Transfer Credit Evaluation Process

To request a transfer credit evaluation, applicants must:

  1. Submit official transcripts from the institution where the coursework was completed.
  2. Provide course syllabi or descriptions for each course being considered.
  3. Complete the Transfer Credit Evaluation Request Form available from the Office of Admissions.

RCU will review the request and notify the applicant of the determination within 15 business days.

Credit by Examination

RCU does not currently accept credit by examination (e.g., CLEP or DANTES) for graduate program credit.
